Founded by Mathew Barkley in honour of his aunt Cassie, Kas Kitchens designs and builds custom kitchens, bathrooms, and millwork from our Barrie workshop - serving Simcoe County, Muskoka, and the northern GTA.

Why we're called Kas Kitchens

The story behind the name.

In honour of Cassie

Kas Kitchens carries the name of Mathew Barkley's aunt Cassie - the cabinet maker who first taught him the craft. Every kitchen we deliver is part of her legacy.

Mathew Barkley started Kas Kitchens because of his passion for creating beautiful spaces. He learned about custom cabinetry from his aunt Cassie, and was inspired to start his own company after she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer - hence the name "Kas Kitchens."

Growing up, Mathew spent many hours in the workshop with Cassie, who taught him everything he knew about custom cabinetry. He admired her skill and dedication, and when she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at the young age of 50, he vowed to uphold her legacy by carrying on her work.

With his extensive knowledge and experience, Mathew quickly established himself as a leading expert in kitchen design in Barrie and across central Ontario. His unique approach to design and attention to detail set Kas apart, and the company soon became one of the most sought-after names in custom cabinetry in Simcoe County.

Over the years, Mathew has worked tirelessly to perfect his craft and provide high-quality kitchens that exceed his clients' expectations. Through Kas Kitchens, he hopes to continue achieving success while making a meaningful impact on people's lives through their homes - every project a continuation of Cassie's craft.

Kas Kitchens is a full-service custom cabinetry company headquartered at 110 Saunders Road in Barrie, Ontario. Since 2016 we've been designing, building, and installing custom kitchens, bathroom vanities, and millwork for homeowners and businesses across Simcoe County, the District of Muskoka, and the northern Greater Toronto Area.

Unlike most companies in our category, we don't outsource any part of what we do. Our design studio works on your project. Our workshop builds it. Our installation team puts it in your home.
